Selective Service rules can depend on age, sex as defined by the registration system, immigration status and dates. QueueCheck deliberately asks only whether a person ages 18 to 25 wants the official check; the official system must determine the answer.

- 2Read the current chart for citizens, permanent residents, undocumented immigrants and nonimmigrants.
- 3Use the official registration or verification tools if the rules direct you there.
- 4Save any confirmation or status-information letter with important records.
- 5Seek qualified advice if a past failure to register may affect another application.
Why the planner does not answer this question
The official rules distinguish categories and exceptions that cannot be resolved from a broad immigration route. QueueCheck also does not ask sex assigned at birth, exact age, arrival history or prior registration facts. A yes/no conclusion from the planner would therefore be unsafe.
The planner's task is an opt-in reminder to check. It is not a statement that registration is required, late or still possible. The official Selective Service site controls its registration, verification and status-information processes.

What to preserve
If the official process produces a registration acknowledgment, verification result or status-information letter, keep it with other long-term records. Later federal employment, education, naturalization or other processes may ask about registration history under their own rules.
If the person is already older than the registration age window or believes an exception applied, do not invent a correction. Use the official status-information instructions and obtain legal advice when the answer could affect an immigration or federal application.
