What a 475 healthcare-category invitation means
IRCC's latest healthcare and social-services category round invited 3,500 people at a CRS score of 475. This is not a general Express Entry draw: candidates had to qualify for Express Entry, meet the category conditions, and be eligible for an invitation outside the Provincial Nominee Program class. If your profile meets those requirements and your score was 475 or higher, check your IRCC account. A score at the cutoff was not enough by itself because IRCC applied a tie-break time.
Who could have been invited in round #441
Express Entry candidates eligible through the Canadian Experience Class, Federal Skilled Worker Program or Federal Skilled Trades Program who have at least one year of qualifying work experience in an eligible healthcare or social-services occupation within the previous three years.

The occupational rule, date and tie-break
IRCC says category-based selection first requires a candidate to meet the minimum criteria for one of the three Express Entry programs: the Canadian Experience Class, Federal Skilled Worker Program or Federal Skilled Trades Program.
For the healthcare and social-services category, IRCC requires at least 12 months of full-time work experience, or the equivalent in part-time work, accumulated within the previous three years. The experience does not need to be continuous.
The qualifying experience must be in one of the 37 healthcare and social-services occupations in IRCC's current category table. It can be in Canada or abroad, and it does not have to be the profile's primary occupation.
IRCC's category page says candidates also have to meet the requirements in the specific round instructions. A matching job title alone is not the complete eligibility test.

My CRS score is 475. Does this prove I was invited?
No. IRCC used a May 26, 2026 tie-break for profiles at 475. Your profile also had to meet the Express Entry and healthcare and social-services category requirements.
Does this round mean I already have permanent residence?
No. An invitation allows you to submit a permanent-residence application. IRCC still assesses program eligibility, category eligibility, evidence and admissibility.
Can overseas work experience count for the category?
IRCC says the qualifying healthcare and social-services experience can be in Canada or abroad, provided it meets the category's other requirements and is in an eligible occupation.
What the result changes for candidates at the cutoff
The invitation count fell by 500 from the June category round, while the cutoff did not move. That is a result for two completed rounds, not a prediction for the next draw.
Candidates with 475 points should not assume they received an invitation. At the cutoff, the date and time IRCC received the Express Entry profile determined who ranked ahead.
The round creates an opportunity to submit a permanent-residence application. It does not grant permanent residence, confirm every document is sufficient, or remove the later admissibility and program assessment.
What an invited candidate should do within sixty days
- Sign in to the IRCC secure account and check for an invitation message. The account shows the applicable deadline and the program under which you were invited.
- If invited, start the online permanent-residence application promptly. IRCC says an Express Entry invitation is valid for 60 days.
- Recheck the CRS facts in the profile before applying, including language-test validity, work history, education and family details. A change that lowers the score below the round cutoff can matter.
- Prepare records that support the NOC selected for the category, including the actual duties, dates, paid work and any required proof that the experience falls inside the three-year period.
- If your score was exactly 475, compare your profile-submission time with the May 26 tie-break. The score alone cannot confirm an invitation.
Why this is not a general 475-point draw
Express Entry is the system IRCC uses to manage applications from skilled workers. Category-based rounds add a specific occupational requirement to the normal Express Entry program requirements.
The number published as a CRS cutoff is the score of the lowest-ranked person invited in one particular round. It is not a promise about a future healthcare and social-services draw.
IRCC's current category table lists 37 healthcare and social-services occupations. The complete official NOC list, rather than an informal job-title match, is the source for checking eligibility.
