India to Canada: IRCC Express Entry PR wait times

This page keeps Indian reader-shared waits separate from the broader IRCC Express Entry PR page, because visa and immigration waits can change by route, origin, consular post, visa office, documents, and interview steps.

The official figure is the only timing on this page so far. Reader comparisons appear here once people share their dates below.

Read India to Canada waits carefully

This page filters reader-shared IRCC Express Entry PR waits by the country the reader applied from. That is not always the same thing as nationality, residence, visa office, consular post, or Green Card chargeability.

IRCC can publish processing context by application type and sometimes by country-specific inputs, but QueueCheck still labels reader waits separately.

What Indian applicants should separate

  • The country you are applying from.
  • The visa office, consular post, or application centre handling the file.
  • Your route, stream, category, or priority-date situation.
  • Whether your timeline is pre-invitation, post-submission, interview, or final decision.

Reading the IRCC Express Entry PR wait from India

A pool with a threshold, not a line with a position

Express Entry does not queue candidates in the order they arrive. Profiles sit in a pool, IRCC holds rounds of invitations, and each round takes candidates above a score cut-off that moves with the type of round and the pool's composition. So an Indian candidate's wait is not a position advancing toward the front: it is a score sitting above or below a threshold that changes every round, which is why two profiles created the same week can be invited months apart or never.

What the processing figure on this page does and does not cover

The published service standard describes what happens after an invitation is accepted and a complete permanent-residence application is submitted, not the time spent in the pool beforehand. For most Indian candidates the pool wait is the larger and more uncertain part of the journey, and the two should never be added together as though they were one queue with one estimate.

For Indian candidates, document lead time is the real risk

The documents this route needs are all obtainable from India, but several run on their own institutional clocks: an educational credential assessment, a language test result, and a police clearance certificate through the passport authority. Once an invitation arrives the application window is short, so lead times that were harmless during the pool wait become critical the day the invitation lands. Candidates who prepare while their score is still below the cut-off are the ones for whom an invitation is good news rather than a scramble.
