New Immigrant U.S. Setup Planner
After admission or adjustment, turn Green Card delivery, Social Security, address, health, work, money and travel into a private checklist.
QueueCheck's free Visa Bulletin Checker turns the U.S. Department of State's monthly Visa Bulletin into an easy-to-use interactive tool. Instead of working through the government tables yourself, choose your Green Card category and country of chargeability, enter your priority date, and QueueCheck shows which dates apply to your case and what they mean.
Written and checked by the QueueCheck editorial team. Last checked September 29, 2026. How we verify information
This compares your facts with the verified October 2026 charts. The saved profile stays in this browser unless you separately opt into email monitoring.
These dates apply from October 1, 2026 through October 31, 2026. A bulletin published ahead of its month does not take effect early. Choose the month in which you intend to file or check visa-number availability.
Step 1
Choose the path that created your place in the Visa Bulletin. Nothing is calculated until you confirm the remaining details below.
Choose Family-sponsored or Employment-based to begin.
Looking for the next release? Follow the November 2026 Visa Bulletin status page. State Department index checked September 29, 2026: it labels September 2026 Current and October 2026 Upcoming. November 2026 is not listed on the index yet. This checker continues to answer against the latest verified published month until new official data is added.
Final Action Dates show when a visa number can be authorized. Your priority date must be earlier than the cut-off.
Dates for Filing can allow documents or an adjustment filing to start earlier. For adjustment of status, USCIS separately decides which chart can be used each month.
C means Current, so there is no dated cut-off for that row. U means Unavailable, so no visa numbers can be authorized for that row that month.
Reaching a date is not approval and it is not a processing-time prediction. It only means the Visa Bulletin gate for that step is open.
These are the complete verified tables. Most visitors can use the checker above without reading every row.
A visa number can be authorized when a priority date is earlier than the cell for its category and country. C is current; U means Unavailable this month.

The earlier chart for assembling documents, and the filing chart where USCIS adopts it. USCIS has not yet said which chart governs adjustment-of-status filings for October 2026. Checked 2026-09-29; until it appears, the month has no filing chart, and the previous month's choice does not carry over.

Unlisted rows are unchanged. Movement is not a wait-time estimate.
Both, for different things. Final Action Dates decide when a visa number can be authorized, so they control visa-number availability for final approval or issuance. An interview date is a separate scheduling decision. Dates for Filing let you assemble and submit documents earlier, and in months where USCIS adopts that chart for your preference type, they also govern when adjustment of status can be filed. The checker above states the current month's USCIS designation with the date it was verified.
No. Reaching Dates for Filing alone does not make a visa number available for approval. Reaching Final Action means the visa-number date requirement is met; adjudication, interviews, and background checks run on their own clocks after that gate opens. The bulletin controls availability, never processing speed.
No visa numbers are authorized for that category and country this month, typically because the annual limit is used up. Filed cases keep their place in line. Cut-offs generally return when new numbers do, most often at the fiscal year boundary on October 1.
No. Your priority date is fixed; a cut-off moving backwards means the line's admission gate moved, not your position in it. A case filed while the date was reached stays filed and resumes when the cut-off passes your date again.
Chargeability normally follows country of birth, not citizenship or residence. Cross-chargeability to a spouse's country of birth exists in some situations; that is a question for counsel rather than a chart.
Nobody can tell you that honestly, and this page never predicts. Cut-offs are set monthly from demand and statutory supply. What this page will do is record each month's charts as they publish and show the movement that actually happened.
Each tracked line has its own page with the current position under both charts, the verified month-by-month history, and how that specific queue is built.
QueueCheck transcribes and verifies the official Department of State tables to make them easier to use in this free checker. Transcribed from the Department of State's October 2026 Visa Bulletin (Number 19, Volume XI), checked against both the official HTML page and the seven-page published PDF. The published document contains the family-sponsored and employment-based charts and no Diversity Visa table. USCIS's separate October adjustment-of-status chart selection had not been posted when checked on September 29, 2026. USCIS's separate monthly filing-chart selection is checked on its adjustment-of-status filing charts page. The verification dates above show when each source was checked. Official government sources remain authoritative wherever anything here differs:
The diversity visa lottery runs on rank numbers rather than priority dates and is out of scope here. The published October 2026 document contains no Diversity Visa table. This is missing DV data, not a Current or Unavailable result; no earlier month's ranks are carried forward.Read how to read the Visa Bulletin for the mechanics behind these charts, and the US Green Card page for wait context. Nothing on this page is legal advice.
The checker answers the priority-date question only. After admission or adjustment, use these QueueCheck resources for the separate setup, Green Card delivery and travel steps.
